We are competent to carry out comprehensive assessments, individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions for individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. Comprehensive speech and language assessments include standardized and informal measures to appropriately assess the oral mechanism, speech sound articulation, receptive and expressive language (understanding language and expressing oneself at an age-appropriate level) and fluency of speech in addition to voice disorders.

A comprehensive speech and language assessments includes standardized and informal measures to appropriately assess the oral mechanism, speech sound articulation, receptive and expressive language (understanding language and expressing oneself at an age appropriate level) and fluency of speech in addition to voice disorders.

Indications to commence speech and language assessment and therapy:

If a child is not saying any words at 15 months

No cooing or babbling as an infant

Not responding to sounds or words

Loss of previously acquired language skills

Feeding issues such as difficulties sucking, chewing and swallowing

Difficulties finding words or putting sentences together

Is less verbal than kids of same age

Developmental language disorders secondary to any syndromes

Hearing loss

ASD

ADHD

Mental retardation

Cleft lip and palate

Unclear speech/difficulty in understanding your child

Hoarse/unusual voice quality

The therapeutic approaches vary depending upon the diagnosis of each individual. We are well experienced in carrying out Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Oral Placement Therapy, listening training etc.
